A Couple of Sympathy Cards

Todays efforts are a couple of sympathy cards. The white one I have used all white card which I embossed in the bigshot with a cuttlebug folder. I cut the shape using a nestie and layered it on a scalloped nestie. The butterfly is an xcut puch and I added some pearls to it. The sentiment is computer generated. I also edged all the pieces using distress ink in Vintage Photo.
The blue one is using some lovely paper I found in my stash .I used a lovely stamp from Inkadoo to stamp the butterflies which I then embossed with clear embossing powder. The sentiment is again done on the computer and I finished off with a daisy ribbon. I also edged the oval with Broken China Distress ink.

Wallet card for Docrafter

This is a wallet card for a docrafter.  The image is a large stamp but I just used a part of it. I stamped the image using a versamark turquoise ink pad and then embossed in clear embossing powder. I then cut the image using a nestie and my bigshot , not cutting around the tail of the dragonfly or the wings. This was then matted and layered onto more nestie circles and then onto a turquoise card which I embossed with a cuttlebug swirls folder. I added the dotty ribbon and the little tag  from K &Co kit.

Birthday card for Mum

This is my Mum's birthday for from my sister. The image is a stamp which I stamped several times onto this fab My Mind's Eye paper. I inked around the edges using distress inks, then layered up the flower and added some beads to the centre. I edged a piece of the paper with a martha stewart punch and adhered to the card. The butterflies are punched out and decorated with some beads and inked around the edges. The sentiment is made on the computer and attached to a little tag which was on one of the paper sheets. A piece of pale turquoise organza ribbon finished the card off.

Cook Book

This is quite a lengthy post - I was asked to make a cook book for some girls to give to a bride to be at her Hen Party. They wanted to add some of their own recipes and a few photos. This is what I came up with. The papers are all Bo Bunny Kitchen Spice - they are fab I love the colours. The images are all Bo Bunny as well. I made some recipe cards , copied one of the papers using a very light setting and then overprinted them with the recipe template. The girls can write their name on the recipe page  I then made up some pages and decorated them so that magazine cuttings etc can be stored in the little pockets. I also made a couple of tags and printed oven conversions on the back of one and weight conversions on another. I bound the whole book using my bind it all. This is the first time I have used it and I bought it two Christmases ago!! It is so easy to use I'll definetly be making more use of it. I tied some matching ribbons onto the binder wires and added some jewels and buttons here and there. Here are a few pics of the finished book.

Front of book

Recipe pages( enough for 18 recipes)
The girls can write their names with their recipe
e.g. A Recipe from Linda's Kitchen

Below are the pocket pages

The tags, decorated on one side the conversions on the back.

I also made a few blank pages for photographs on the insides of the covers and the facing pages.
I hope you like it. I really enjoyed making it  and I hope the recipient likes it too.

Funky shoe card

This a 21st Birthday card I was asked to make. The stamp is fab,its of a single shoe but I have made it into a pair.. I bought it at the craft show in the Kings Hall, its by Fourth Dimension or is it Dimension Four? I'm sure you know who I mean. I paper pieced the shoe , the brown is just the backside of the beautiful flowery paper by Fancy Pants and then I matted and layered onto some nestie circles. I added some pearls and some brown organza ribbon. The sentiment was printed directly onto the card from the computer.
