I would like to send out a big Thank You to Jane of Jane's crafty Bits , Sharon of Forget Me Not and Tina of Tina Jane Cards for all awarding me this award - I'm chuffed to bits and delighted that you find inspiration from my blog.
The idea of the Liebster Blog award is to spread the love from small blog (under 200 followers) to other small blogs. This helps to spread knowledge and readership.
To accept the award you must
1. Link back to the person who gave you the award and thank them for thinking of you.
2. Post the award to your blog.
3. Give the award to 5 bloggers (with less than 200 followers) that you appreciate and value.
4. Leave a comment on the blogs of the 5 people you have chosen to let them know.
Leibster in German means Dearest so to carry on the Liebster tradition, I am going to pass on this award to 5 people whose blogs have been an inspiration to me and my crafting:-
I love this image from Digistamp Boutique - I printed it out twice - flipping one of the images - I cut the bird from one image and added it to the other to make a couple - papers are Doodlebug - love the black and white daisy-embossed white cardstock- nestie shapes - some glitter glue - stitched ribbon from my stash - sentiment made on the computer.
We needed to add a bit of pink to the bridesmaid dresses as Gillian had wanted pink shoes to go with them and felt we needed a bit of the pink in the dress as well - I made a few fabric flowers - here are my efforts - she chose the pink and blackcurrant one I made using tim Holtz tattered floral die.
ribbon and fabric twisted flowers -
much brighter colour in real life - sorry about the awful pic
fabric flower cut with die and ribbon pieces sewn in
These are a much truer colour - they are all this shade of pink believe it or not lol
This fabric was sort of felt like on one side and satin on the other
Rolled roses - two different sizes.
Confetti for the tables - took me 4 hours to punch out this little lot but
it was worth it cause it really added to the table settings
Did them all love heart sort of colours and we had a packet of love hearts in the napkins as a wee token for Valentine's day.
I had a few wedding cards to make as well - this one uses a cute Fizzy Moon chipboard embellishment -some textured Bazzil cardstock - die cut shapes - punched flowers and leaves - gems - Stickles Glitter glue - sentiments made on the computer.
I made a couple of these cards for Gillian's Bridesmaids and they loved them. The image is from pink Petticoat coloured with promarkers and I added some Stickles glitter glue - I think if making them again I would use Glamour Dust for added glamour - hearts embossing folder - distress inks to colour the nestie shapes and some adhesive pearls. The sentiments are printed directly onto the card.
...2 days and counting till my daughter's Valentine's Day Wedding -I'm getting very nervous and excited at the same time - ohh but it is stressful - had the most stressful day on Friday but all's well that ends well - dress is here - cakes are here - bridesmaids sorted - my outfits here - only last minute things to do on Monday - fingers crossed all goes well and the weather is kind to us. Woken up this morning with cramps, sick stomach, pounding head and runny nose and the sweat is pouring off me :( - will dose up on Mrs Beechams lol
Here's the save the date and the invitation I made for her - the invite is cheque book style with pages for the invitation - directions and rsvp details - I used ivory and bridal white cardstock - daisy punches - punched leaves - stickles glitter glue - pearl gems and ivory and white ribbon - and some scoring with my scoreboard - She loved them.
A boxed trifold keepsake -Isn't this such a cute image from LOTV - added a few splashes of glitter using Stickles glitter glue - papers are My Mind's Eye -( I think- would need to check) - ribbon and gems from my stash - wild orchid craft flowers - sentiments made on the computer.
I am married to Stephen and we have two daughters and a little grandson. We live in the centre of Northern Ireland in a town called Portadown. I work part time and spend most of my free time between crafting and looking after my grandson Ryan who is now three.
Thank you for popping by and looking at my blog. I don't mind you getting inspiration from my work but please don't copy any of it directly or pass it off as your own work, enter it into competitions or to magazines for publication. I try to come up with my own ideas and all my work is copyrighted. Thank you Linda
