Wedding Order Progress

Haven't been on for a few days as I have started work on a wedding order for my daughters best friend who is getting married later in the year. I have made the save the date cards- white linen with silver pearlised card embossed, a white organza ribbon and a couple of little embossed silver pearlised hearts hanging from a pearlised thread.. They are quite time consuming to make but it's what she wanted!

Not a great picture, I'll take a better one later and upload it.

Challenge entry for 3 blog challenges!

Wow I'm on a roll today!lol  I have made this wallet for a swap using  a lovely sketch from Sketch n Stash . It also fits the bill for a Spoonful of Sugar which is Freestyle! and then I thought it fits the bill for cupcakecraftchallenges too as it requires a set. I have added a set of little notelets to qualify for this one. I used my Brenda Walton sucerie papers from K&Co, a hanglar image, some pearls and flowers from my stash and a piece of organza ribbon.

Another one of these cards....

I haven't been crafting for a few days as I got my stitches out on Monday - all 15 of them and it was quite painful, they were very deep according to the nurse! I have a bit more movement in my hand now which is good . Anyway this is the card I have made for my mother-in-laws birthday. The last one had to be amended for a last minute card for my daughter. Same as before a bit of stamping with stamps from a lovely set by Rhonna Farrer for Autumn Leaves, paper by Brenda Walton Sucerie range, turquoise ribbon and a little button this time for the flower centre. I have stamped the envelope to match.

Funky Floral Card

I love the papers I have used to make this birthday card. They are from Fancy Pants, the colours are fab. I'm loving my stamping at the moment and have stamped some different flowers onto the paper in brown ink. I have cut them out, added some curly wires and layered them onto the front of the card. I then used some pearls and diamontes as the flower centres and a brown ribbon bow to finish with a little sentiment attached.

Last minute daughter's request!

I had been working on this card for my mother-in-laws birthday next week and had just the sentiment to put on , so i thought I'll get the dinner over and then I'll finish it. My daughter lands in after work and says Mum have you a card suitable for a 21st birthday?  When do you need it for I asked?  I'm going out in an hours time and I need it then!! arrggggg! She knows when her friends birthday is, why do they leave it to the last minute?

I have stamped the background and a flower image in brown on cream linen cardstock which I then cut out and layered up. I also stamped on the envelope. I have added turquoise bead as flower centre and a turquoise ribbon to finish.

Colour Create Challenge card

This is my entry for the colour create challenge which was to use kraft, white and blue. I had to make another card for a blessing and this colour scheme suited so I thought I'd give it a go. The added extra was texture and I have used some twine for the bow and the ribbon on the tag.

Todays card

This is a 8x8 card for a little boys first birthday. I love the colours in the background paper, dont know what it is but its gorgeous. I used a little teddy bear image and finished with some ribbon and some stars.

My Craft Room

Have entered a comp for some blog candy and you have to put a picture of your crafting area on your blog. Here is a pic of my craft room . I have one side of my utility room fitted out, about 15foot long, just got it done recently and still trying to get it organised, boxes labelled etc.

My card for my Daughters birthday

It's my eldest daughters birthday tomorrow and this is the card I made for her. As you may know I have had an operation on my left hand and so my crafting activities have been curtailed but I just couldn't bring myself to go out and buy a card for her. I have made my version of the card from the videos on the docrafts site. This is week 7 a pop up card. It's the first time I have ever made this type of card and it was so easy. I have stamped the backgrounds and made the flowers. It took me a while as I was using one hand and just the fingertips of the other lol but I got there in the end and am pleased with the result.I hope she likes it.

Double Dutch Challenge card

This is my card for the Double Dutch Challenge. I used a forever friends tag and some papers by Brenda Walton - Sucerie , gems and cord from my stash

Anastasia's Birthday card

This is a little card for my neice Anastasia who was 9 yesterday. I used the new BoBunny papers Persuasion and a gorguss girl image.

Laid up so no cardmaking for a few weeks.

Been uploading some cards that I had made before going into hospital on Wednesday for my operation. Got out again on Thursday and have a huge big bulky plaster and bandage on my left hand. It's a bit sore at the minute but maybe after a few days I'll be able to try and make something. It has to stay on for 10days.

Linda
This is a special card I was asked to make for a colleague for her friends birthday. I sort of followed the challenge sketch on Sundaysketchandstamp but instead of the sentiment I have used a ribbon bow and instead of the image I have used some wording. I dont know if this would be acceptable for the challenge but I like the sketch so I'll do another one and enter it. This is the first time I have followed a sketch and really enjoyed it. The papers are gorgeous and are from the Brenda Pinnick 200 Sheets of Solid and Patterned Sucerie Papers seen recently on QVC. I'll have to work on my photography, the pictures aren't great!

Monday 4 January 2010

Another very cold wintery day here in Northern Ireland. This is a card I was asked to make for a couple who got engaged over the new year in New York. The backing paper is one I found on the net. It has some of the lilacy colour of the flower through it as well but its difficult to see it in the photo. The large heart is a sissex die and the flowers were from my stash. I also added some punched out leaf fronds.

Hi All
Have you had much snow today where you are? We have had a wee scattering of snow , very light but it has got very cold. I have just left my daughter and my little grandson home, they were visiting for the afternoon. I
am now going to have a look at the challenge sites to see which one I might enter. I'll post the card when I have it done.

Saturday 2 January 2010

Not quite got the hang of it yet but here goes! My New Year's resolution was to get a blog up and running and to take part in some of the blog challenges. I have finally done it after a few false starts throughout the year. I thought I'd start with a few of my favourite cards that I have made in the past year. I'd love to hear from you all, let me know your blog addresses and I'll pop along and have a look.
