Whooo!!! I'm in Creative cardmaking

Just received an email from Creative cardmaking to say that I have won some goodies from them. I sent them some cards via email and they have published them on the letters page. I haven't seen it yet but I will be waiting outside the craft shop first thing after work tomorrow to get a copy! lol
I'll upload the page when I get the magazine.

A big thank you to my new pal Linda from the docrafts forum for forwarding the page on to me so I dont have to wait till tomorrow!

Male Birthday card

A Male birthday card using a fab dragonfly and music script stamp that I bought on ebay. I love this stamp and have used it here with black ink which I have embossed. I also inked around the edges with vintage photo distress ink. The papers are from my stash and I added a button threaded with some twine and a sentiment made on the computer.

Bo Bunny Gatefold Christmas

I love this fab traditional Bo Bunny paper the reverse of which I have used on the inside of the card.  I cut some panels of gold mirri card and layered on some of the gorgeous paper. I made a border for the middle and a sentiment on the computer. I cut the sentiment out with an oval nestie and added a fab two tone red and green organza ribbon and some red gems. I used the reverse of the paper to cover the inside of the card.

Notepads and Noteboards

These are a few of the little notepads and noteboards I have been making for stocking fillers. The little note
pads are made using post it notes from asda and some scrap papers. I used a large paper clip with a couple of nestie circles stuck to either side of it to fasten them closed. This can also be used as a book mark. The boards are made using 4x6 chipboard rectangles covered with papers and inked around the edges. The tiny post it notes are from Tescos and the little calendars from the local craft shop. The spring back clips used to hang them are from a stationery shop and I have covered them in paper and tied some ribbons around them.

V for Verse

Whoops forgot to post this yesterday - V for verse in the daily Christmas Challenge on the docrafts forum. I have used glorious Bo Bunny papers, some green and red cardstock and my nesties to cut the circles. This is an easel card and I made the verse and sentiment on the computer and the banner free hand. It is raised up on foam pads so it sits as if it is wavy which is hard to see in the pic - a traditional Christmas card.

Apron Shaped Christmas card

Saw something similar on one of my trawls through the net and thought it was a great idea so this is my version. I cut out the apron shape freehand and then used these fab Echo Park papers to cover leaving a gap along the middle to slot in the recipe card. I then cut a white strip which I covered with the lace and ribbon and added that to the front making sure I didn't cover the slit. I added some ribbon and a button with some twine. The sentiment was a freebie and I added the Christmas recipe wording to the middle and layered it onto some nestie shapes. I also inked around most of the edges with distress inks.  Punch two holes for the neck ribbon and knot each end of the ribbon once you have pushed it through the holes. Print out a recipe  and back it onto some coloured paper and there you are Your Christmas Apron.

T for Tree

My card today is T for tree and I have made a Christmas tree using punched out snowflakes. I made a tree shape out of card and shaped it over some foam pads to make it 3D. I then added the punched snowflakes in white and aqua glueing them over the shape. I added a fab sparkly tinsel bow to the top and some pearls to the centres of the snowflakes. I cut out the trunk shape from some aqua cardstock and gkued to the bottom of the tree. I made the sentiment on the computer. I love how this card turned out.
