Is this a mess or organised chaos?

No cards today but will start posting my Christmas cards over the next few days. Well my craft room was tidy when I started and after an afternoon and evening crafting this is what it looks like! I had the day off work so after taking my daughter and grandson shopping I settled down to a few hours of Christmas card making. Now you all know that when we get absorbed in our "work" the time flies by and before we know it its the wee small hours and someone - I don't know who - has made an almighty mess. I do tidy as I go along but this is the aftermath of a days crafting, I did make good headway on my Christmas cards though. I daren't show you the mess on the floor! Just thinking too, no matter how big an area you have to craft in it's never big enough!

If there was a challenge for the biggest mess I think I'd enter this into it! lol

Monochromatic Butterfly Card

I love making these cards - just white with a hint of one colour. This time I have used Broken China Distress inks to tint the edges of the flowers and leaves which were punched out of white cardstock. The circle frame was made using nesties, the image was stamped and embossed and then tinted with the ink and some stickles glitter glue added. I used part of a stamp to stamp the floral sprays at one side. The sentiment was made on the computer. A few pearls and tiny butterflies were added to finish it of.

Handbag birthday

I think this is the closest I am going to get with a CAS card.  I made the little handbag using the fab DCWV Citrus paper pack, I beaded a wee handle and cut out one of the flowers from the paper for a catch. I also added a couple of ribbons and a gem. I used some ribbon which I laced up through some eyelets. I'm not sure if this would pass as a Cas card but I gave it a go anyway. It's not my usual style as I don't like to see a lot of bare white paper.

Floral Beauty

I found this lovely floral image on google, printed it off and went over it with a wash of sakura stardust pen. I highlighted the centres of the flowers with some stickles glitter glue. The papers are K&Co. I added a gold organza ribbon and a little tag with a few pearls on the top. I hadn't the colour of pearls I wanted so I used my promarkers to colour them.

Ferrari 40th birthday

This was a request for a funny 40th birthday featuring a Ferrari. The person the card is for has always wanted a red Ferrari so I printed off a lovely pic onto photographic paper so that it looked nice and shiny. I then  printed the writing on top. Inside I made a little pocket where I put the paper ferrari cut out. i found it on the net and it is a paper model that you make up yourself. I thought it was very funny. I have delivered the card and the client was over the moon with it.

I'm I the only one to do that??lol The punched edge is part of the paper. I used a flower stamp and some cream ribbon along with some black and cream cardstock. The sentiment was made on the computer.

Another Butterfly Card

This time I have gone with a cream and black colourway. I had embossed a piece of card using the a swirls folder and had this bit left over. I mounted it onto some black card and added the butterfly which was stamped onto some K&CO card and then embossed with clear embossing powder. I added the pearls and the wire for antennae. I cut the front of a 6 inch square card down to about 2 and half inches. The back of the card was covered with black card leaving a cream border showing.I made another embossed strip of card, layered onto black and then onto the front panel. I stuck the butterfly panel on top. The sentiment was made on the computer. I like the simplicity of this design.

I love this butterfly stamp and have used it before on a similar card  for a Golden wedding. This time I have used a different card fold.  I cut off half of the front of the card . I stamped the butterfly onto some K&Co paper and then layered on some nestie circles.  I covered the back of the card with K&Co paper as well. The sentiment was made on the computer. I added pearls and some gold embossing to the butterfly. Check in tomorrow for another card using the same stamp.

Fushia and Lime

Sounds much more exotic than pink and green lol I followed a sketch for this card. I think the papers are Basic Gray and they are gorgeous. I have just added some distress inks around the edges, a bright lime green ribbon  and some gems along with the sentiment. A very simple card but I like it.

Peaches and Cream

I thought I'd have a go at a card made using just the one colour along with the cream cardstock. I chose to use Spun Sugar distress ink to add the colour. The little girl is coloured using the distress inks and some sakura stardust pens for a bit of sparkle. I added a tiny bit of green for the leaves in her hair. Then I punched out loads of different shaped flowers and some leaves. I inked around the edges of them all and stuck them around the aperture of the card. This was the bit left over from a nestie cutout and I raised it on some foam pads. I then added some pearls to the centre of the flowers and a sentiment made on the computer.

Floral Birthday Card

I have been trying to get my card box filled for some demos I am doing next month. I have made a birthday card using a lovely floral stamp that I bought from ebay. I stamped it in black ink and embossed with a glittery black embossing powder.  The backing papers are from my stash, I've had them a long time. I layered using some black cardstock. The sentiment was made on the computer and matted onto a nestie circle and a little punched out butterfly added.  I added a couple of ribbons over a black mesh ribbon to the bottom of the flower and tied them in a knot.
