Baby card

This is a little card to celebrate the birth of Ben. I used a lovely teddy bear stamp which I stamped directly onto the spotted paper. I added a twine bow and layered it up on some different coloured nestie circles. I made a border using a Martha Stewart punch, a strip of patterned paper and a strip of plain card and finished with a spotty ribbon. I edged around the image with some distress inks. The sentiments were printed on the computer. The papers are from a DCWV pack I got from QVC.

Card to celebrate new sisters

This is a card for two little girls who are now big sisters to Ben. Its so that they won't feel left out with all the excitement of the new baby. I saw something similar on the web and this is my version of it. The image is from PC Crafter Belly Button babies downloads.  I layered it onto a patterned nestie circle. The little items are just from my stash. I edged in some china blue distress inks. The sentiment was printed directly onto the card. I added some writing with a sakura pen.

Wedding Card

I love this image - magnolia bride and groom - I coloured them using distress inks. The papers are Bo Bunny, the colours are beautiful. I matted and layered the image using nestie plain and scalloped circles.  I made a threefold card which stands like a triangle, the inside is for the girls to write a wee message. The sentiments I made on the computer along with the verse. I choose a funky font- Brian Cary- which I printed in brown. I created a border using the Bo Bunny papers and a Martha Stewart punch with a strip of lace threaded through with a pink ribbon.  I added some wonderful flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts and a few sprays of pearls from my stash.

Birthday card for GRANDAD

This is a card I was asked to make for a grandad from his grandson. Grandad loves Mnchester Utd and Matthew loves Liverpool. A big thank you to Docrafts Bunny for doing the image for me.I had googled for what seemed like a  lifetime but I couldn't find any suitable images of grandad and grandson wearing football strips. After a plea on the Docrafts forum Bunny came to the rescue with this great image. I embossed the background with black ink and clear embossing powder for the footballs and red ink and clear embossing powder for the words. I decoupaged the grandson and layered onto some black and red card. The sentiment was made on the computer.

Friendship card for May

This is my Friendship card for May swap on the docrafts forum. I have used a fab image I received in a swap and coloured her with distress inks. I have used a sketch, I can't remember which challenge it was for, but I love it - this is the second card I have made using it. I have inked around the edge of the card with distress ink in broken China. The sentiment was already printed under the image. I added a couple of little pearls to finish.

A Birthday card for my Niece

This is a birthday card for my niece whose birthday is today. I used a Pink Petticoat image coloured with promarkers. The papers are fab free downloads from Zoe Pearne. I have edged some of them with distress inks in Fired brick. I cut some nesties circles and layered them up with some plain cardstock. The sentiment was computer generated and a few pieces of raffia finished the card off.

Birthday card for my nephew

It's my nephews birthday on Wednesday along with his twin sister so I thought I'd better make a start on their cards. Mark has just got a motorbike so I googled an image, printed it on some photo paper and matted and layered onto some red and then silver card. I added a sentiment printed off the computer. I felt the background was too bland , just black card so I embossed some arrows onto it. They are nice and glossy and show up well .

Thank You card

This is a thank you card for some gifts my grandson received recently. I used a photo of him and made a frame from scalloped nesties. I then stamped around the edges of the frame  using a small sentiment stamp and versamark and then red embossing powder. I then layered it onto some white card and a base card of dark blue. I added the stamped images on the corners and also embossed them in red. The frame has been raised on foam squares.

Commission for a Special 85th Birthday card

This card is a special card for an 85th Birthday. I made an 8x8 card using two peices of cardstock joined together. I covered the front using this gorgeous K&Co paper which I got last year while I was in America. I added a border of gold velum edged with a Martha Stewart punch and layered onto some some dark pink bazzill cardstock. The sentiment was printed on the computer, distressed around the edges with antique photo ink and matted and layered with the velum and another piece of lighter coloured  K&Co paper . I added three rows of gold organza ribbon gathered into a bow in the middle. The flowers are from Wild orchid crafts, they are beautiful, I added some punched fronds and leaves cut from the the backside of the K&Co paper, a few pearls and some glitter. After all that I discovered that  an envelope wasn't deep enough to hold the flowers so I had to make a box.

Commissioned birthday card

The brief for this card was duck egg blue and it was for a Mum. I used some free download papers from http://www.zoepearn.blogspot.com/  they are very like the My Minds Eye papers- gorgeous.I made a scalloped border using a Martha stewart punch and a sentiment on the computer which I cut out using a Nestie Oval. The Mum sentiment I made into a little tag with a peice of blue organza ribbon. I punched out some flower shapes from the papers and made up little flowers along with some prima flowers and little roses from Wild orchid crafts. I also added some punched leaves and fronds and a little bit of sparkle with some Stickles glitter glue from Ranger.
