How Cute! Baby Easel Card

A lovely easel card for a new baby using my favourite teddy bear stamp. I stamped it on the backing paper, cut it out and layered  using a nestie diecut shape and added a little organza bow. The papers are downloads I have had for ages. I made some little rolled rose flowers to which I added some glitter glue, a few punched out leaves and the sentiments were made on the computer. The borders are a Martha Stewart punch.

Forty and Fabulous!

A quick birthday card for a 40 year old who loves her fashion and bling. I used DCWV paper - gorgeous colour and it already had the sparkly glitter on it - some silver mirri card cut out with a nestie die,a fab little embellishment and the sentiment was made on the computer. I added some glamour dust to the sentiment and glitter glue around the edge of the card for some more bling!

Hi All ...I'm back but........

I seemed to have lost my mojo!! May be forgot to pack it in my suitcase for the journey home lol
I got lots of lovely new crafty stuff when I was away but since I returned home I don't seem to be able to get my mojo going and get some crafting done. I have some orders over the past few days so I need to get going -maybe I'm still suffering from jetlag. Anyway good to be back and hopefully I'll have something to post real soon!!

Off on my hols!!

Just a quick post to let you know there will be a break in transmission for the next 15 days as i leave for my holidays in sunny Florida tonight. I can't wait - have left plenty of room in my suitcase for all those crafting goodies and bargains that I'm going to find while out there lol - well a few visits to the craft shops is a must isn't it? lol

Ruby Red baby Keepsake

I was comissioned to make a keepsake card for a baby girl called Ruby with the colour ruby red as the theme. I used this fab little teddy bear stamp which I paper pieced using some Nitwits download papers. I added some ruby red ribbon, gems and made a box to match.

Happy Birthday Tamara

A little card for my niece Tamara who is 9 today. I used a Hanglar image, paper pieced it and coloured with promarkers. The flower as made using different sized daisy punches, the sentiment was made on the computer and matted onto some nestie oval shapes.

21st Birthday

This was a commission for a book type card - it's an 8x8 card with five pages containing some beautiful poems a lady has written about her now 21 year old son as he was growing up. I covered the front
in these fab Doodlebug papers teamed up with some turquoise cardstock. I printed the sentiment on the computer, jigged around with the words using Alfredo's dance font and then printed it onto the paper.. The spine was covered in the turquoise cardstock and then I added a border of wording made on the computer.

On Your Special Day

Still on the white on white theme - this time a wedding card. I embossed the base card with some lines  using my scorepal, I cut out a nestie shape and also embossed lines on it  and then added some Stickles glitter glue to the lines. The diecut bird on a branch is from Marianne dies which I have run through my Bigshot in an embossing  folder. I added some rolled flowers I made - my first attempt at these and then added some sparkle in the centres. The sentiment was made on the computer and I added a few gems to finish.

Fabulous Fairy

Many thanks to Red Rottie (docrafts) for the beautiful image of the fairy - she prints out wonderfully clear and is a dream to colour. I used some promarkers to colour her and glamourdusted her wings. The papers are from Pink Petticoat and the sentiments I made on the computer. I photograped this outside in bright sunlight and the colours are a bit washed out looking.

Less is More

I'm loving the clean and simple look at the moment as well as white on white - a bit of a change as I couldn't usually make a card that had any white showing at all lol. I used Tim Holtz tattered dies to make the flower which I then covered in Stickles glitter glue after I had inked all the edges with distress ink.. The centre of the flower is filled with tiny tiny green and blue coloured beads. I marked out a grid and embossed with my martha stewart score board. The sentiment was made on the computer and I added a little gem above the i.

Lily of the Valley

For this card I have used a Lily of the valley cute square which I have  gizzed up with some glitter and glamour dust. I made the flower with Tim Holtz tattered florals die and some papers from Trimcraft. I added a little heart shaped button to the centre of the flower. The sentiment was made on the computer.

Top Three in Creative Inspirations Paint Challenge

Whoo hoo - I've just found out from my docrafts friends that I have come in the Top3 at Creative Inspirations paints in the challenge with a Butterfly theme. I entered the Elegant  Butterfly card which features a little further back in my posts. Here is the link to the site.

Birthday Flowers

For this card I cut out an aperture using a nestie die cut and then cut another corresponding die shape in a smaller size which I attached to the front of the card from behind. This gives a nice coloured border to the aperture. I punched out some coloured and some white different sized daisy shapes and leaves which I arranged in one corner of the card. I lightly inked the edges of these. I added some pearls to the centres. The sentiment was made on the computer. I also embossed a line around the front of the card using my score board.

Sorry the pics aren't great but it is so dull, wet and miserable over here, the light is terrible so it's hard to get a decent pic.

Another one for the box

This is a fab stamp which I stamped onto pearlescent card and then embossed with clear powder. The patterned paper is from DCWV Citrus pack and that is the last I have of it :( - it was a fave of mine loved the colour. I used a few nestie circles and there you have it - a  very simple but effective card.

Elegant Butterfly Card

I have made this card several times and I still love it. The butterfly is stamped and embossed on patterned paper and layered up with some wire and pearls for antenae and different sizes of pearls for the body. I added some cream embossed card and a circle of black cut with a nestie die. The sentiment is from Craftwork cards.

The Saga of my Jinxed Sunday!

Well what a weekend I have had! lol I have a demo and make and take for 35 on Thursday night and had decided to get a lot of the prep done on Sunday as I wasn't looking after my grandson this weekend. Everything was going to plan - I had decided what card we were going to make - sorted out the base card and the the card for matting and layering - got all the card blanks and envelopes sorted and bagged so all I had to do was print off some background papers and cut some nestie shapes. That's when things started to go downhill - got some pages printed off when the printer ran out of ink - that's fine I always have spare ink - got the new cartridge out inserted and nothing!  The printer refused to print Refer to printer documentation it kept telling me! I cleaned the heads, realigned, unplugged and rebooted till I was blue in the face and had wasted a couple of hours but nothing - it wasn't going to print even hubby couldn't get it going. So I needed a new printer - hadnt time to get one on Sunday as in the afternoon I had to go and see my parents who don't live near me. When I came home again I thought I'll update my blog been neglecting it for a few days but the blooming card reader wouldn't read the card so I couldn't upload any photos -you need a new one my hubby informed me. Ok I'll cut out my nestie shapes and yes you have guessed I broke not one but two plates including my spare so have to wait for Cutting edgecrafts to get me one asap which they will cause they are brilliant! So that's the saga of my Sunday but things are track again now - got a new printer, new card reader and new plates!

White on White

I'm loving making these white on white cards-love the texture you can get. This one has an oval aperture cut out of the front and I have used a Marianne die of a bird on a branch. I embossed around the edge of the card using my scoreboard. I used a Marianne die of a bird on a branch which I embossed with a daisy embossing board. I  Cut another branch and bird but cut off the bird and punched some flowers. These I also embossed and added some pearls to the centre. I gave the bird a little blue gem for an eye. I think you could use this card for any occasion but I have added a sympathy sentiment made on the computer.

Butterflies and Blossoms

Another card in the same mode as the last one but this time in an all white colourway. I have used some embossed card, punched flowers, leaves and butterflies and a few pearls. The cardstock used throughout was white linen.The sentiment was printed directly onto the cardstock.

Floral Aperture

Morning All
Haven't been on blogging for a while but I was feeling a bit jaded and had very little inspiration but I think my mojo has returned in the last few days - either that or its blind  panic cause I have a demo and class in 10 days time for 35  and I haven't started my prep yet!!lol
This card was inspired by one Ruth made recently and showcased on her website here. I cut the front of a 6x6 card just under half way and then cut a strip the same size as the piece still connected to the card and then attached them together using the die cuts and flowers.
I have used a Sizzix die from the flowers, leaves and branch set and some daisies punched from different sized woodware punches. I added some pearls and an embossed border to finish. The little sentiment was made on the computer. I like this card and am going to play around more with this idea.
