Ribbon and Bows.

A birthday card featuring some fab chocolate coloured ribbon and butterflies. The paper is from DCWV - Garden Party - isn't that butterfly design just beautiful! I made a trellis for the background using my Martha Stewart scoreboard to make the lines. A few pearls and  agorgeous ribbon bow to finish.

Sew Lovely!

A different take on a wedding card- bought these stamps from Personal Impressions - one of which is the manequin I have used here - cause I just loved them. I have had them for a while and never inked them up - disgraceful I know lol - well I found them yesterday when I was tinkering about in my craft room and thought I'd have a go. The lady whose bridal shop I made some cards for had rung and requested some more - this gave me a kick start as I haven't been well and was just tinkering about in my crafty space tidying not really making anything.
I tried to dress the manequin as if it was maybe going to be a brides dress - thinking now it's probably a tailors dummy as the set was all to do with sewing. Here's what I came up with . Do you like it?

Wedding Keepsake

My favourite type of cards to make - a wedding keepsake card. This time I have used these gorgeous papers from Melissa Frances. The colours are beautiful. The image is from Lily of the Valley and I have used distress inks to colour it. The lace, ribbon and pearls are from my stash.  Flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts . Another one of those dreaded male cards.

Do we all find it hard to make male cards for men who don't have a specific hobby or interest? I think it's easier if you know they are interested in football or golf etc than trying to come up with something out of nothing! lol  Here's another one - similar to the last one just using a sentiment as the main feature and some fabby dps from Basic Grey.

Charlie's First Birthday!

A big birthday card for a little boy who will soon be one. The papers I have had for ages in my scrap box, the image is from Fizzy Moon celebrations. The sentiments I made on the computer - rounded off some of the corners with a corner punch - I keep forgetting about these and don't use them enough. I added some diecut stars and some gems to finish.

Teal and Brown 40th Birthday!

I love this paper and have had it for ages - one of those that you keep taking out but refuse to cut into it - you know what I mean lol. They are from Dream Street Papers and from the Art Noveau range. I made the sentiment on the computer and used it as the focal point on the card.
I think this is  my favourite male card  I have made yet. Hope the recipient likes it as much!

Belly Button Baby

I seem to making a lot of baby cards at the minute- here's another boxed one. The image is from PC Crafter and I have decoupaged it and added a little heart button to his tummy. The sentiments are all made on the computer. The card shape I found on Kerry's blog (aka Pickle) - it looks great and I'm sure I'll be making more this shape.

Recipe Book

I have made a lovely book to hold recipes from friends - this is a gift for a hen night. The book contains 18 pages for recipes plus some extra sheets and some pages I made into pockets to hold bits and pieces. I also added weight conversations on a little tag.  The papers are from my stash and from the new Nana Loves range of chipboards and papers from Jenny Ellory. These were the free gift on this months Cardmaking and Papercraft magazine.(August issue) The colours are gorgeous. I bound the book using my Bind-it-all.
If anyone has any of the chipboard die shapes that they are sure they won't ever use I'd be happy to swap something for them - just email me.
