Well Done Adele!

My daughter passed her driving test first time last week and I've only just got round to making  this very simple card for her. I found the fab image on google - it's just like her before she got her hair cut shorter!
Well done Adele!

Thank You

A thank you card to thank the staff of a hospital ward - I have used papers from DCWV Garden Party pack. I printed the sentiment on the computer and cut it out using nesties. I added a stripy frame and some punched flowers and leaves. I inked the edges with some china blue distress ink and added a few pearls to finish. Just need a nice verse nowfor the inside.

Woohoo!!!! I've passed 5000 hits!!!

A great big Thank You to all who have visited my little blog over the past year, to all my followers, and to those who have made it possible for me to acheive over 5000 hits!. . I hope you enjoy what I have been doing and I'm looking forward to your next visit. I appreciate all your input and comments. I have found January a bit of a dreary month and I can't seem to get into full cardmaking mode but I'll keep going and hopefully it won't be too long before I'm celebrating 10000 hits!  ( Am I being a tad too ambitious do you think lol)

Many thanks once again to you all!!
You are stars!!!

Lily of the Valley

I was lucky enough to win some LOTV blog candy in the release day blog hop and this is one of the stamps. Isn't she lovely! I coloured her with promarkers and distress inks and added lots of fairy sparkle with Stickles glitter glue. The papers were in my scrap box and I added some cherry blossom from Wild Orchid Crafts. I used some of my new Nestie shapes. I like this lace edged one but some of the others I got , I'm not so sure so I might sell them.

Flutterby Butterfly

A 50th birthday card using some fab K&Co papers. I stamped and embossed the butterfly in gold onto the patterned paper. I then cut it out and added some tiny gold buttons and some gold wire. A few nestie circles edged in china blue distress ink to hold the butterfly and a computer generated sentiment. I also used a sketch from Friday Sketchers. The edges of the paper were distressed using a Tim Holtz distressing tool , distress ink in china blue and then some stickles glitter glue.

A sprig of flowers!

At the moment I am supposed to be making wedding cards - my head is full of ideas but I can't get my colouring right! grrrr!! It just doesn't please me at the moment and I have binned more stamped images than I have had hot dinners! so I had another go at my board and added a few sprigs of flowers stamped in distress inks - vintage photo -around the edges of the little pockets.

Altered Notice board part 2

I set out last night to colour some images for wedding cards I have to make but my colouring wasn't going to plan, nothing turned out the way I wanted so they were binned and I futtered about with my board. I have used K&Co papers to line all the little sections of the board. I inked the edges with vintage photo  and some darker with walnut. I sanded back the edges of the boxes to give them an old feel. I also gave the frame a little going over with some china blue distress inks. Now I have to make some nice embellishments to adorn it. This is to decorate the wall of my craft room and not for regular use.

Update on my altered notice board.

This is a work in progress and I had no idea what way I wanted to go with this but I have decided on the shabby chic distressed look which I love.  Firstly I sanded down all the edges and gave them a quick swipe over with distress inks - Vintage photo - I have then  used a heart stamp that had beautiful swirls on it and stamped all over the outer edges in distress ink and then covered gold embossing powder. I didn't want the actual heart shape just the swirls. I rubbed off some of the embossing powder in places and then dried it with my heat gun. This took an age possibly because it was on wood and not paper.I then sanded the edges again and gave then another go with the distress inks. This is what it looks like now.

I have noticed one side along the little pockets that I will have to redo as it has a very obvious straight line!
Will keep you posted on progress

Molly Bloom

This is a card I have made using the free Molly Bloom stamps that came with one of the cardmaking magazines - Simply Cards and Papercrafts. I think she is lovely, so cute! There is also a little boy in the set, well worth buying the mag for the stamps alone.
I have paper pieced her trousers, shoes and headscarf and coloured the rest using promarkers. The papers are from my scrapbox, I think they are Doodlebug. I added some fab Wild Orchid flowers and some stickle glue. I also used a sketch from Bearly Mine.

Happy Birthday Anastasia

A birthday card for my Niece Anastasia who will be 10 on Friday. I have used this fab digi image from Digistamp Boutique and coloured it with promarkers. The papers are from an old DCWV kit I got from QVC a while ago. I have used Stickles glitter glue on the top of the cake for some sparkle.

Altered Cork Notice Board

I have had this board since last summer when I bought it at Dunelim Mill for some ridiculous price with a view to altereing it for my Craft Room wall. Well at last I have made a start on it.  I forgot to take a photo of it in it's raw state but all I have done to it so far is sand it all down and give it three coats of cream paint as a base. That's it ready now for embellishing just need to let it dry. This will be a work in progress so I'll blog about it as I add bits to it.

P.S does any know how to add fonts to your blog to change them? There are just a few on the blogger that I use and I would like a more fancier font.
Thanks

A Tidy Craft Room!!

Morning Bloggers - well at last I have managed to get my craft room tidied after all the mess I created in it over the festive season. All the Christmas stuff is packed away and I'm ready to get crafting again - lol. My mojo had gone for a wee Christmas break I think but now I'm itching to get started again. Hopefully I'll have something to show you in the next few days. But where to start? Sample invites for my daughter's wedding ? - There is a cork notice board I want to alter? -My neice is 10 on Friday her birthday card?  -Boxed Wedding cards for a Bridal shop that has asked me for some to see if they would sell? I got some new Tim Holtz tattered dies I want to play with - some great stamps I want to ink up - I think I have plenty to keep me going it's just getting started lol
Happy crafting

Lost my Mojo :(

Hi All
Haven't been blogging for the past few days as I seem to have lost my mojo at the minute. Got lots of new crafty things to play with but can't seem to summon up the energy to go into my craft room and start. Have some ideas in my head but that's as far as they have got at the moment. I think I maybe did too much in the rush up to Christmas and now when there is no hurry I can't seem to get motivated! lol I have been out several times to my craft room tidied for about 10 mins and that's it.
What am i to do?? I'm off now for a trawl around some of your blogs to see if it will kick start me into action.
